Tour Description
Settled upon 29 acres of tropical savanna, The Belize Zoo is a retirement home to about 150 animals, all of which represent over 45 species which are native to Belize. The zoo keeps animals which are rescued, born at the zoo, orphaned, rehabilitated, or simply just a donation from other zoological institutions. Animals you will see here are jaguars, crocodiles, toucans along with other magnificent birds, tapir (our national animal) and other exotic mammals all living in their natural habitat. A visit to the zoo is the best way to get an introduction to the animals of Belize so come and view them.
